Soup Kitchen FOOD NEEDED FOR SOUP KITCHEN- SUNDAY JANUARY 29th
Food commitments are really needed. THE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE COMING TO THE SOUP KITCHEN HAVE SHARPLY RISEN, IN THE PAST WE’VE HAD LOW 100’S, BUT RECENTLY THEY HAVE COUNTS OF 137 GUESTS. The current economy has brought more people to the soup kitchen to help make ends meet. For some individuals or families, this is their main meal of the day. We need only the following food, as the entree is being prepared by the Soup Kitchen staff everyday: Oranges and bananas, pre-washed salad in bags, gallons of milk, sandwich bread and individually packaged dessert (like what you'd put in a lunchbox) We need only 10 serving volunteers who should arrive at 11:15 please let us know if you can come. If you can donate any food please let us know, you can drop off on that Sunday between 8:30-9 am to Rob in the Synagogue lot. Call or email us with any questions, and to let us know what food you will be bringing! If you can’t pick up an item but would like to help, you can get money to Rob or Judy who will buy necessary items. Thanks, Rob Greenfield at pbjcpr@aol.com or Judy Milstein at jmilstein@weichert.com
The Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown is growing, and with that, the demand for our services expand as well. We are looking for a small group of people to provide volunteer staffing for the Guest Resource Center. This Center will be on the premises of the Community Soup Kitchen and will provide Guests with the means to obtain more direct access to the various Agencies that are available for offering solutions to their many needs.
If you are interested and have the time and life-experience skill base to be a volunteer, please answer the questions below, return this form to us as soon as possible and someone will contact you with the specific details. Thank You!!
